The Rosary for Life is prayed by the The Gianna Centre on the first Wednesday of each month after the 9:00 am Mass at the Assumption Parish.

Please join us on Friday mornings at Resurrection Parish at 8:30am for the recitation of the Holy Rosary.

Our parish depends on the contribution of many volunteers. We gratefully acknowledge the many hours they offer as an expression of their baptismal vocation to help build up God’s People.

There are a few ministries in our parishes, and we are always looking for volunteers to help out.  If you would like to offer your time as a volunteer, please contact the parish offices: 780 468-4071.   The following Volunteer Information Form needs to be completed.   

 

We have the following ministries in our parishes:

  • Catholic Women’s League, the united voice of Catholic women across Canada
  • Knights of Columbus, is a Catholic fraternal organization for men of age 18 and older, who are looking to serve the church and community through various activities.
  • Sacramental Preparation, for parents in the Baptism of their children, the preparation for all First Communicants, Confirmation candidates, and couples wishing to be married in the Catholic faith.
  • RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), for adults wishing to be baptized as members of the Catholic Church.  There is an adapted course for children aged 7 to 15 years.
  • Liturgical ministries:
    • music ministry, we are always looking for new talent, musicians and vocalists,
    • proclaimers read the Mass readings and intercessions at the weekend masses.
    • adult servers assist the priest in preparing for Mass.  Must be 18 years or older.
    • altar servers will assist the priest and Adult Server during Mass, you must have received your First Communion to be an altar server.  This opportunity is available to boys and girls.
    • Sacristans launder and iron all Mass items (purificators, etc.) altar cloths and assist in changing them as per the liturgical calendar, and other duties.
    • Parish Finance Council meet every quarter to discuss the parish finances and any financial  matters of concern.
